Jess Somers collection of prints inspired by the biblical story of Cain and Able are truly beautiful, and make for an interesting interpretation of the story. The line quality in Jess’s work is truly remarkable, and I recommend checking out her website to view the rest of her print series.
Here’s a nice mixed media Baltimore-centric piece from Illustrator Kelly Franklin. Her nature paintings are absolutely beautiful. Her most current work can be found on her blog.
Hampden Fest is happening this weekend! Be sure to swing by and say hello to your friends at MORE Collective. (Maybe even grab a shirt if you feel so inclined.) In addition to a ton of great bands playing over the course of the weekend there will be a Beard and Mustache Competition, Toilet Races, and many other ridiculous attractions only a Hampden festival could provide.
We’re loving the fun, and colorful style of illustrator/designer Donald Ely. You’ve probably seen his work featured in Baltimore Magazine, and the Baltimore City Paper. He also done work for CENTERSTAGE, and has had his editorials featured in publications nation-wide.
